01

When a hot spot is not a success signal

A cluster of taps can indicate intent, but it can also expose uncertainty or a control that looks interactive when it is not. Compare repeat taps, the next event and successful journey completion before celebrating attention.

02

Scroll depth needs a content question

Low reach is not automatically a layout failure. Ask whether users found what they needed earlier, whether the lower content supports the decision, and whether the screen contains a clear reason to continue.

03

Segment before you redesign

Aggregate maps can hide opposite behaviours. New and returning users, Android and iOS devices, and acquisition sources often need separate views. Segment only where sample sizes remain credible.
